FIRST BEST PRACTICE

1. Title of the Practice: Gender Sensitization 

2. Objectives of the Practice: The main objective of this practice is to generate awareness for promotion of gender equality and removal of gender-based discrimination. 
Another objective is to sensitize the local community about rights of women and their role in societal upliftment through continuous extension and outreach programs. 

This practice is also intended to instill the idea of a ‘gender just society’ in the students thus shaping them into efficient, empathetic and responsible individuals. 

SECOND BEST PRACTICE

1. Title of the Practice: Dispersing Environmental Consciousness 

2. Objectives of the Practice:  The main objective of this practice is to generate awareness among rural masses pertaining to preservation of natural resources and benefits of working towards creating a ‘environment conscious society’. It is intended to develop the critical thinking in the people regarding environmental challenges and need of environment preservation for future generations.  
Another objective of this practice is adopting the practice of ‘waste management’ in an eco-friendly way. 
This practice also aims to instill the idea of sustainable and inclusive development in the students.

INSTITUTIONAL DISTINCTIVENESS 

One of the distinctive practices of the institution is ‘Promoting Sports Activities’ in local community to inculcate the qualities of character, courage, discipline, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship among the youth to make them useful citizens. This college is situated in rural area of Haryana and youth is naturally inclined towards sporting activities as well as Armed Forces. The college facilitates and encourages the students to hone their skills and become role models for other youth in their neighborhood community. The Sports department is actively contributing to create a suitable environment for the students so that they could compete in different inter-college, state level, and national level games like wrestling, boxing, volleyball, and kho-kho, etc. One unit of NCC comprising 50 students is also successfully operating in the college to teach the students about the ideals of national service and to motivate them to choose a career in the Armed Forces.
