A successful street play was organized at the Government Postgraduate College, Israna, as part of the Drug-Free India Campaign. Youth were made aware of the ill effects of drug abuse: Under the auspices of the Drug-Free India Committee, a highly emotional and impactful street play was successfully organized at the Government Postgraduate College, Israna, as part of the "Drug-Free India" campaign. The primary objective of this event was to raise awareness among youth about the growing dangers of drug abuse and its physical, mental, family, and social consequences. The play, titled "A New Initiative: Towards Drug De-addiction," poignantly depicted the story of a youth trapped in the trap of drug abuse and his struggle to overcome it. The Principal of the Government Postgraduate College, Dr. Hariom Ji, along with college professors Dr. Dinesh, Dr. Mukesh, Dr. Sunil, Dr. Sandeep, Dr. Amit, Mr. Dalbir, Mrs. Pooja Jaglan, Dr. Mamta, Dr. Suman, and a large number of students were present at the event. Through their powerful acting, chorus singing, and dialogues, the artists conveyed the message that addiction not only devastates the individual, but also the entire family and society. They described self-confidence, family support, and proper guidance as the only path to freedom from addiction. In his address, the Principal said, "Addiction is a demon that is swallowing the future of our young generation. Such street plays are the most powerful medium to spread social awareness. We must collectively resolve to build a drug-free India."
