Today, on September 24, 2025, a speech competition on the topic "Drug Abuse: A Curse" was organized at the Government Postgraduate College, Israna, under the joint aegis of the "Drug Free India Committee" and the "English Language Committee." The program was organized by Mr. Dalbir, in-charge of the Drug Free India Committee, and Mr. Dinesh Kumar, in-charge of the English Language Committee, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Hariom. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Hariom advised students to stay away from the rapidly spreading drug addiction in society. He advised students to avoid bad company and emphasized that human life is precious and we should not waste it by falling into addiction. He discussed in detail the causes of drug addiction and its adverse effects on human life. Students participated enthusiastically in the competition and presented their views on the topic. At the end of the program, Dr. Mukesh Deshwal, Chairman of the Jury, encouraged students to avoid the evils of drug addiction and lead a clean and healthy life. He announced the winners. The first prize went to Tamanna, BA II, second to Sakshi, BA II, and third to Tannu, BA II. Mrs. Mamta and Mr. Dalbir also served on the jury. At the conclusion of the program, the winners were awarded, and Mr. Dinesh Kumar, in-charge of the English Language Committee, thanked all the teachers and students who participated and attended the program.
