Quiz and Speech Competition on the Saraswati River Held at the College

A quiz and speech competition based on the Saraswati River was successfully organized at Government Post Graduate College, Israna (Panipat) on the occasion of Saraswati Mahotsav-2026, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Hariom, and jointly organized by the History Department and the NSS unit. Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Hariom described the Saraswati River as an important heritage of Indian civilization and said that such events help develop historical awareness and a spirit of competition. The quiz competition was skillfully conducted by Assistant Professor Sandeep. The first prize went to the team of Rashi, Kirti, and Shikha, the second to the team of Prateek, Nancy, and Kirti, and the third to the team of Aarti, Rachi, and Sapna. In the speech competition, Shikha secured the first position, Sapna the second, and Kirti the third. The judging panel included Mrs. Sushma, Dr. Mukesh Chander, and PRO Pooja Jaglan. NSS officer Sunil Kumar appreciated everyone's efforts. On the same day, a drug-free awareness rally was organized under the aegis of the 'Drug-Free India Committee'. Principal Dr. Hariom urged everyone to avoid the ill effects of drugs and channel their energy into constructive activities. Under the guidance of Prof. Dalbir Singh, students took out a rally with slogans like "Quit Drugs, Embrace Life" and administered an oath to the villagers to stay away from drugs. A large number of students and faculty members, including Dr. Sunil, Dr. Sandeep, Dr. Pooja Jaglan, Dr. Mukesh Chandra, and Dr. Mukesh Deshwal, were present at the event.
