State-Level Inter-College Kabaddi Tournament Begins with a Grand Opening

The state-level inter-college kabaddi tournament was inaugurated at Government Post Graduate College, Israna, by social worker Harpal Dhanda. He served as the chief guest in the absence of Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, who was unavailable due to other commitments. He urged the youth to stay away from drugs and focus on improving their lives through sports and education. Principal Hariom and the staff welcomed him. Special guest Ankleshwar Prasad, Controller of Examinations at Kurukshetra University, informed that 9 girls' teams and 8 boys' teams are participating in the tournament. Israna College has earned a good reputation in both education and sports. On this occasion, Sant Rajendra Singh and Dalvinder Singh from Israna Sahib Gurudwara encouraged the players. The Gurudwara Committee arranged for the food and accommodation of the girls' teams. Harpal Dhanda presented Rs. 11,000 to Vanshika, a silver medalist in the Haryana Junior National Kabaddi tournament. Sant Rajendra Singh contributed Rs. 21,000 to the college. Social worker Sombir Gill donated Rs. 51,000. On the first day, Government PG College Israna (girls), Gurugram Dronacharya College, Baba Mastnath College Rohtak, Arya PG College Panipat, and Government PG College Israna (girls) won their respective matches. International coach Tilak Raj captivated the audience with his commentary. The tournament will continue until January 30, and Panchayat Development Minister Krishan Lal Panwar will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Several dignitaries were present on the occasion.
