Students urged to stay away from drugs

A slogan competition was organized in Israna on Thursday under the aegis of the Drug-Free India Committee as part of the Drug-Free India Campaign. The main objective of the competition was to raise awareness among students about the ill effects of drug abuse and to inspire them to send a strong message to society through creative writing. The program was inaugurated by the college's Principal, Dr. Hariom. He urged students to stay away from drugs and play an active role in building a healthy, drug-free society. He reported that over 100 students from various faculties of the college enthusiastically participated in the competition. Participants wrote powerful and meaningful slogans on topics such as a drug-free India and freedom from addiction. Dr. Mukesh Deshwal, Dinesh, and Dr. Balendra Gulia served as judges on this occasion. He reported that Monica, an MA finalist, came first, Shivani, a BA sophomore, second, and Geeta, an MA finalist, third. The college honored the winning students with certificates. Dr. Sandeep, Dr. Pratik, Sunil, and Pooja Jaglan were present on the occasion.
