A three-day inter-college (kabaddi) competition commenced at Government Post Graduate College, Israna.

A three-day inter-college (Kabaddi) competition was inaugurated at the Government Post Graduate College, Israna. Harpal Dhanda, the elder brother of the Education Minister, and Sardar Sant Rajendra Singh Khalsa of Sant Bhavan Gurudwara, Israna, were the chief guests and inaugurated the competition by lighting the ceremonial lamp. They congratulated all the players. Speaking at the inauguration, Harpal Dhanda emphasized that all students should focus on their studies along with sports, as education is crucial for success in life. He urged all players to play with true sportsmanship and not with animosity. College Principal Dr. Hariom welcomed all the guests and said that sports are an important part of our lives. He added that sports contribute to both physical and intellectual development. He stated that the college excels in both academics and sports and welcomed the players from colleges across the state. Dr. Ankeshwar Prakash, the Examination Controller from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, who was present as a special guest, said that students who perform well in academics also tend to perform well in sports. He added that a player brings glory not only to their parents but also to their village, state, and country. Former District President Dharampal Jaglan, Sardar Dalwinder Khalsa, Dayaram Jaglan, college staff members Dr. Praveen, Kulbir Kadian, Pooja Jaglan, and sports coordinator Dr. Balinder Gulia were also present at the inauguration. A team from the Health Department, led by Rakesh, was also present. On the first day of the competition, Government College Israna (men's and women's teams), Dronacharya PG College Gurugram (women's team), Baba Mastnath University Rohtak (men's team), and Arya PG College Panipat (men's team) emerged as winners.
